FAA mod and warranty..

I’m thinking of getting a Spark and someone suggested I use the FAA mod (in the UK) to get a better range. I’m worried that although I’d very much like a little extra range, doing this may invalidate the warranty with DJI. How would they know that the mod has been used on any particular drone?

You mean FCC mode trick?

Normally, it shouldn't void your warranty (if you had traveled to us you would fly in FCC mode, anyway), but with dji who knows.

Better fly with your device in airplane mode, with no internet connection of any kind.

This will be seen in the flight record in the Spark and the log file of app. Good luck with warranty claim.
