Flying United airline

has anyone had issues with this airline and traveling their drone on the flight. I have the lipo bags and I know to drain the battery to 30%.
I read a post on DJI forum that they were not allow to bring their batteries on the flight.
I wondering if this was the case?

I haven't flown United recently but I have not had issues on other US airlines in the lower 48. Their website shows it like most all the US carriers. You can carry on lipo's - Carry-on Baggage | Carry-on Bag Policy | United Airlines

There's no need to drain the batteries before boarding. You won't hurt anything though if you choose to do it.
