Thanks to all! I AM GETTING my Spark today! Question - do I have to upgrade the firmware even it's new arrival?

It's not required, but it's a good idea to keep it updated. You'll be able to take advantage of the latest features/fixes.

Thank you! I received my Spark 2 days already- I am NO RUSH!
I took time to read all the manuals, and study online (video tutorial) first.

I fully charged 2 batteries and the remote on the first day, then activate my drone the 2nd day.
I connected my DJI Go 4 to Spark last night and immediately it pops up the red warning, and it states I have to upgrade the firmware or the aircraft WILL NOT TAKE OFF after 9/1.

Seriesly? I assumed so. At this moment the Spark will not take off since it passes 9/1 already.
I will upgrade my firmware tonight and see!

I can use the Go 4 to upgrade the firmware directly, right?
