Icy Shots

Went down by the Pend Oreille river (pronounced pond-o-ray) today for a few shots but the wind was ferocious! Chanced it anyway and came away with 2. The water slowly comes out of the cliff face and freezes into 100+ foot long icicles. These were up about 200 feet. Then spun the spark around 180 and got the frozen river. Then chickened out and came back.

No videos - the Spark was really dancing around in the wind. If it have gone into atti it would have been into the cliff in about 1 second

Thanks! I put an ND16 on. I think unless it is cloudy I'm always going to use either and 8 or 16.

That ice shot is great. Good color/tonal contrast really makes the ice stand out. A nice compositional arrangement of what’s in the frame. Wish it was my shot.
