More likely interference. Do you have your Bluetooth off? Where are you located?

Are you controlling Spark with Remote Control unit or just a phone?

Are your in FCC Mode in U.S. or running in restricted mode elsewhere?

Have you toggled off Beginner Mode?

Any of the above alone or in combination could give similar symptoms.
