Litchi mission went wrong

I made a litchi mission about a month ago to take pictures of my house during construction. I programmed it so it would fly around and take pictures and I have flown the mission almost every day for the last month with no issues. This morning I take it our old the mission (same one I always use) and it hits a tree half way through. I don’t get it! There was some snow on the ground. I didn’t think that would make any difference. Anyone have any ideas? I really want to continue my missions when I fix my spark but I am sure to be nervous. The lowest point of the mission was 65 feet and I live in central Illinois where it is all flat.
