Yes, it's insane how long this bridge is. I flew 1.5 miles from the beach and it still barely got half-way past the first cable. DANG it's HUGE!

The Mighty Mac is an awesome bridge.
The span is 5 miles across.
You should see it in the winter time.
The straits are frozen over and occasionally an ice breaker goes through to keep the shipping lanes open.
