Maximum height and Rock quarry...

There is a rock rock qurray that I am thinking of taking the spark to for my 'first adventure'. It is a very deep one and I am wondering once I fly over the ledge if it is higher than maximum height will the spark try to desend lower or what? Rather ask here than to have an oops as at the bottom is a lake.

No. When you fly over the edge, the current altitude in DJI GO will remain the same. Your Spark doesn't know the difference between flying over solid ground and over a ledge where the ground drops off below it.

If you fly lower than the recorded home point your height reading should be in the negative reading
