This canyon used to have a coal mine in it, but it has since been reclaimed. The part of the video where the mine was is at 1:20. Burned two summers ago, I've tried to get some video of the way thunderstorms destroy a canyon drainage when there is no greenery to slow the runoff. Big rock at end of video is the Paramount Rock, after which the mine was named. It used to have names of miners all over it, but they've really faded with time. Canyon is difficult to video because of constant wind and a 345MW power line running up the center of it. Photos are of an old miners dugout and stable just down from the canyon.
