mounting control to bicycle handlebars

I found when trying to have the spark track and follow me using just the iPhone, it seemed to loose connection easily resulting in me having to turn around and go back to reestablish. As we know, connecting the iPhone, via an org to the remote controller, provides a much more robust connection between the spark and controller.

So I'm wondering if anyone has found a way in which to connect the spark remote controller/phone to the handle bars of their bicycle. I tried to using a combination of pieces used to connect a GoPro to the handlebars but didn't seem to have the right pieces.

Any thoughts

I found I couldn't get the RC holder really tight on the handlebar bracket part, and the RC would twist too easily.

I'll add my little project here - I did a prototype of a holder [built from PVC foam - lightweight and sturdy enough to keep everything fine].

unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it on a bike, so I'll try to explain how it works:
I use GUB G-85 "clamp" type of a phone holder - here it is on gearbest. let's call my prototype thing a "module" the rectangular holes fit two parts of the clamp [as explained on the picture], the triangular ones [circular on the 3D model] are for rubber bands to keep RS stiff. this his how you mount it:

1. uscrew the clamp [you'll need to do it anyway, to reposition phone from portrait to landscape]
2. fit the "module" on the holder, mount everything etc. in a way so the longer part of the "module" faces front of the bike.
3. mount your phone into RC, as usual
4. mount your phone [with RC] to the holder so the RC will lay on the "module" like on the shelf
5. add rubberbands to keep RC stiff [optional]
6. PROFIT!

tested on some dirt roads, woods etc. everything worked fine with my Nexus6P. I'm thinking about 3D printing but don't have any regular access to 3D printer, so right now I'll play with my prototype, but 3D model was done in SketchUp just to keep all dimensions.

sure, I had to come back from work - here are the pictues. as you can see, there is some ducttape involved just for the black look haha still a prototype I also didn't had any rubber bands near the bike, so I improvised them with some sturdy line [that silver-ish string], so you know how the rubber band goes.

oh, and unfortunately some time ago my Nexus6P died because of Bootloop of Death [it was my second one ;/] so you can see naked Pixel 2XL on the photo - the mount needs some adjustments, as P2XL is a bit narrower than N6P and it doesn't fit too good right now [also: it won't fit in my dbrand's GRIP bumper, that's why I'm thinking to use some old galaxy S7 as my "RC phone when biking"
