I have just received two (2) new spark batteries still in there boxes for Christmas. My question is since its winter here on the east coast would I be better off leaving them sealed in there boxes for the next two months till warmer weather since I already have 3 batteries I use now? or should I remove them from there packing and charge them to 50% and store as suggested till warmer weather comes? Thoughts

They will self discharge, I don't think you need to wake them up from hibernation.

If you really are not going to use them, just keep them stored inside a 'room temp' & dry environment.

I have 2 more batteries coming tomorrow...and I will use all 4 in rotation.

I would charge them to make sure they are both okay, and not faulty. I bought 2 a month ago..was planning on not using them...something told me to charge one of them....it never woke from sleep mode...multicharger led light went from green to red when i plugged the battery in...no lights on the battery came on to say charging begins. The other one was good. I had enough time to return to store, and got a replacement.

It would be best to open them and maintain them like this. If DJI batteries sit idle for too long, they will become damaged and will not be usable.
