OTG Cable Question

Help me understand why folks suggest the cable versus WiFi connection to the remote controller/phone. I have used both and don't see the difference.

have you tested a range test?which is go further? in my previous test with wifi (seems the range is significantly shorter ) i think contribute wifi to remote controller may reduce the strength to connection to the spark. (enlighten me if i am wrong)

Makes sense, I guess. I haven’t flow more than 200m away so might not be far enough.
