This formation is north of Denver Colorado at the border of Wyoming. It's actually right by the highway.

Great photos! If you have access to a photo editing software you should lighten the shadows on shot 1 & 2. They will stand out even more, especially the one with the barn. This is a very good photo with a lot of potential. Upping the exposure of the whole picture in this case won't help because you will blow out the sky.
