This is that damaged tower that stands next to I44 in Tulsa. It was damaged by a tornado in August '17 and has stood empty since. It was just bought to turn into luxury apartments.

Amazing that a building like that would sit vacant and exposed to the weather. Good thing that it is up for renovation and occupation.

I expect, after the tornado, there were months of building inspectors, lawyers, insurance adjusters, accountants, law suits.. Then finding somebody interested in doing something with it, then more building inspectors, lawyers, accountants, engineers.....

Yea, it could take a LONG time to do something with it. There have been calls to tear it down.

Luxury apartments? In tornado alley I'd prefer a luxury storm cellar!

Dad always claimed "there has never been a tornado IN Tulsa!" Well, now there has.

(Dad grew up in Tulsa and moved to Illinois where we moved a lot, so I didn't really grow up anywhere. Oh, right. I did not grow up.)
