On my s8 I did this and the lagging seemed to go away for me on my s8 on WiFi and otg here's what I did
Go into device maintenance setting
Then into your battery and press them three dots at the top and go into the optimisation and make sure dgi is not been battery optimised mine looks like this.
Both my dji go app's was been optimised for better battery switched on. And when I switch them of it seems to help a lot.
I don't know if this works for other android devices but for the Samsung my flying with WiFi last night was smooth as butter.
