Actually most Android users are having issues to use the OTG cable. I'm not sure if the last update has covered this issue. You are gonna have to study better about this subject.

Your device is in the list but as you can see its not supported by DJI.

I use a Huawei Elate (stripped down to essentials for flying and no SIM) and it works just fine. Your P9 has much better specs so it should be great!
