Should I open the Props or let them open when the motors start?

I always manually open mine, but they will open on their own when the motors start up.

I open mine manually some new props are very stiff an may cause a problem

open manually, only takes a few extra seconds. There's a slow-motion video showing the Mavic startup both folded and unfolded and the Mavic shakes noticeably with the folded props. The added wear and tear probably isn't significant, but at least you can check your props while unfolding them.

Open it before to start. It is not a good idea to keep it closed because of vibrations :
