So if you press the power button, upper RH corner, the 4 LEDs should blink, indicating the state of charge. Are they all dark? How long did you let it charge?I guess I’ll have to call and send it back, never got to fly it yet.

Yes charge it over night and no lights till hooked up to charger
Before sending it in these are worth a try. They are are quick and easy and have worked for others.
1. Power on the RC while hooked up to power as you described in OP. Press and hold power button for 9 seconds. Release when you hear beeps. This is primarily used to reset to default wifi but it also does a hard reboot which may be beneficial.
2. Try a different micro USB cable. Try several. Thicker ones are better
3. Try a different charging brick. Try several
4. Try a different wall outlet (last resort and least likely to help)
5. Download DJI Assistant 2 software and look for firmware update for RC
If none of those work it could be a defective unit. Especially considering it wouldn't charge up from day one.
Good luck. Hope this helps
All new spark batteries come in a hibernation mode you have to charge it and let it charge takes about 2 hours
I have charged it over night several times and have no trouble charging the spark but when it’s taken off the charger it will not turn on hook the charger up to it and it turns on it connects to DJI app take the RC off charger it’s disabled
your battery is dead... replace it.. if you cant afford one then use a old cell phone bat 2000 mah minimum.. then charge and sit by it to make sure the internal lipo charger stops other wise youll burn your house down if you let the batts sit to long anything below 3 volts wont charge on a lipo charger or any lipo charger they think its dead you prolly have 2 volts... ive seen lipos go to .5 volts thats half a volt and you charge it with a hobby charger up to 3.5 volts on nihm mode nickle iron or nicad mode.. then when the voltage is above 3 lith ion mode will charge it just hook up jumper leads... make sure the battery you install can handle hiigh drain you may need a regular lith polymer cell from ebay single cell high drain scratch the cell phone idea...My RC will not turn on unless its connected to charger, Any thoughts ?
