Oh brother I prefer android phone's..Do you know if I need a cellular ipad4 or can I get away with a WiFi only one?

You won’t be able to use GPS if you only have WiFi.

GPS is only needed if you want to be able to manually reset the home point to your current location after taking off. All other GPS related features use data from the Spark's internal GPS receiver.

16GB is all you need. 16gb is enough if you are not going to do anything else with it. The size means data storage, there is nothing to do with RAM. besides, the full-size iPad models are too big for you, the iPad mini is better.

For our clients we always actually recommend the iPad Mini 4. Apple products work best with DJI Drones and the size of the iPad Mini 4 is pretty perfect (not to big and not to small)
