Hi I'm new to drone flying and just wanted to ask a question if I may.
When i connect my spark using otg cable do i need to put my phone in flight mode many thanks in advance.

It's not neccesary, but a very good advice. In this way the go4app will not update in the field and it blocks a lot of disturbing signals like Bluetooth and WiFi.

Also cappellan if you dont mind when I choose for the drone to return to where I am with the controller its says signal is weak why is that when I use otg cable

This is the connection between drone and remote controller. It might be caused by a lot of other WiFi signals around you. Are you flying between a lot of buildings?

Are you using an iPhone? If so, that's a common issue with iPhones. Other than using an external GPS receiver, I don't know of another fix.

Make sure you have the GPS turned ON in your phone before attempting to set the home point to the controller's location. It is also worth mentioning that GPS reception for the phone may not always be strong due to obstacles like buildings around where you are standing. I did get this weak gps message on my Android device too a few times but when I am standing in an open area, it works fine.

this happened to me as well, its just controller connection issues if your behind a large object etc

you just plug the cable in turn off wifi on your phone or tablet before you start your drone.. and neeever update your drone if it flies fine it will fly fine never update the fly zones.. to do this keep off wifi before you turn on your drone.. the otg will work when you plug in the cable youll hear a ding if you dont or you dont get video or it connected unplug the controller otg side with drone and app on and plug it back in sometimes it will not show up but it will if that dont work then do the phone side of the cable..
