The San Juan River gorge and the Perched Meander

The San Juan River cuts a deep gorge in southeastern Utah. The River changed course long ago and left an abandoned (perched) meander.

This river flows into the Colorado River upstream from the Grand Canyon.
One really nice thing about flying here is that is is legal, unlike the National Parks, but the scenery is just as nice.
