Tioga Lake / Pass (CA)

I am planning a road trip and will pass through Yosemite which i know is a no fly zone but it looks like Tioga Lake / Pass is ok does anyone have any experience of this?

Well, Tioga Lake is just outside of the National Park. It's in Inyo National Forest. But they ban it along with any kind of mechanized activity so you're still out of luck. Inyo National Forest - Recreation Passes & Permits
