Hello,

What actually happens when your controller and Spark loose connection to each other?

Assume that everything started OK and Home Point was recorded.

It should come home to you, as you stated, if HP has been recorded.

Unless it switched to Atti-mode, then it's up to you to fly it manually due to the Spark losing GPS for some reason. Without GPS, the Spark doesn't know where home is. But if you don't have a connection, I guess you can't fly it manually.

I've flown in a couple of spots when I lose connection about a 1/4 mile out and the RTH always kicked in and came back into range.
When it reconnects, I can cancel the RTH and fly manually.

So far, so good. :)

Not suggesting that you should rely on it always, but Return-to-Home on loss of RC connection has worked 100% for me. And I am not talking about one or two but about 30 flights in total. In fact even when I had connection, I would use the RTH function on my own to bring the drone back home in my early days of flying.
