What have you found out, if you have?

What have you found better, 2.4 or 5.8? Coming from an IT background, the 2.4 should give longer range, while the 5.8 give a stronger signal but not far.

Has any one tested between the two to see?

In residential areas with lots of home-2.4GHz-Wifi 5.8 is better, in remote areas with not much wifi around, 2.4 is better.

Unfortunately my mobile device does not support 5.8 so I. I'm forced to only use 2.4. I've recently done a range test with the spark where I flew it 500m from where I was and could possibly go further. I had to update the home point everytime I reached 100m so I can go further. Also I don't have a controller So I use the phone. How far do you guys think the spark will fly on the 5.8GHZ. Also i had the help of a spotter just to be safe.

Same here Landondale704, i use an iPad Mini 2 and there's no facility for 2.4, but i use OTG and am getting good distance with that in the UK, not as good as my P3A but good nontheless.

I use 5.8ghz as we are under CE rules. However with IOS and OTG I get up to 650mtrs before I loose RC connection. Not as good as the 2.4ghz flyers..
