Where/what software

I am searching for a used Spark to buy but cannot confirm conclusively if my phone and tablet will work with the software. Phone is a Samsung J7V and tablet is Samsung Tab A 8". I want to load the software first so that when I look at the Spark I can test it to see if they're compatible as I really don't want to buy a new phone or tablet. Where do I get a download of the software, and which version should I get (seems some people find older versions work better for their particular phone or tablet)?

I had the exact same set up, phone and tablet. I had major problems with keeping a connection. Now using IPad Mini 4 with OTG cable. Much better. If you use a Bluetooth headset or any other Bluetooth device make sure you turn them off.

Reading feedback from others here and other places it seems hit or miss. Add to that there is always multiple versions of each unit, i.e a Samsung Tab A can have many versions of software, memory, processor,etc. Urgh!

You need at least 2 gig of ram, and preferably more.

Well that will do me in. Got 538MB left and 7.5 gig of memory. 2 gig for a smart phone seems like an awful lot though......
