OTG cable and iOS 17

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help.
My Spark has connected fine over OTG even with my iPhone 14 Pro Max until recently when I tried to connect and it failed. No connection and no charging of controller either over OTG. Green light on controller but not connected to iPhone.

Tested with my iPad and works with same OTG cable so the cable isn’t faulty.

Any ideas?

You’ve worried me now as I haven’t tried my ageing Spark with 17 so will give it a go. Hope you get a more helpful response than this!

Have just hooked it up to my iPhone11 Max and all seems good with OTG and iOS17.1.1. Sorry I can‘t be of more help. Once your are sorted check out the take off procedure or rather lack of take off procedure. My MA2 has a button to press to take off and land-very useful. I don’t recall the Spark having that but it is there now. perhaps an updat?

It’s great that your OTG cable and controller are working fine with your iPad—that helps narrow things down. Since the issue seems to be with your iPhone 14 Pro Max not recognizing the controller, it could be due to a recent iOS update or a slight port issue. Try restarting your phone, cleaning the Lightning port gently, or even testing with a different OTG adapter. That said, if you're still having issues and your iPhone’s port continues to cause problems, you might want to consider a replacement.
