The landing gear look similar to my PolarPro landing gear.

That style appears to be a friction fit to the battery.
It does not prevent the battery from falling off as the gear does not connect to the Spark itself.

These Clips are preferred to insure the battery stays on the Spark.

A rubber band is too stretchy.

Although a #141 rubber O ring works great.

You can leave it on the Spark when changing the battery.

Plus you can use the prop guards, if needed.

Most of the battery clips and the guards take up the same space on the arms of the Spark, so you have to choose one or the other.

I’ve experienced problems with these interfering with the downward sensors. You need to be very careful that they don’t obstruct the sensors (even very slightly).
