Firmware Update and Batteries

I'm a little confused as if I need to do the firmware update to each battery (I have 3). I watched a YouTube video on the latest update and it said to do it with each battery.

I did the 701 firmware upgrade with the first battery and everything upgraded smoothly. Installed the second battery for update and DJI app said I have the latest firmware. So do each battery really need the update?

FYI, you can find detailed instructions for installing the Spark/RC/battery firmware via the DJI Assistant 2 app here. It might come in handy the next time you update the firmware.
