Flight number 42 with my Spark - Piglet, buzzing around the back yard, little voice says 'ATTI Mode' (had 12 sats when I took off) and it took off toward the woods. I immediately hit the pause button and ran around to the other side of the house - thank goodness the pause button worked! It was hovering about 100 feet off the ground on the other side of the road. I managed to fly it home, safely land, then went inside to change my underwear.......

Needed new underwear too when I tapped on RTH (phone GPS) and it started proceeding to land on top of the university's library 50 ft up (while avoiding obstacles along the way). Thanks goodness for obstacle avoidance. Must have been hilarious to watch this poor thing spewing "f***, s**t, crap, agggggghhh".

Never trust your phone's GPS. Should have set it to land where it took off. Should have checked GPS signal when setting RTH location.

Tablet is WiFi only so no phone GPS. I did all of that, had great GPS signal, great signal between the RC and AC, etc. right up to the event, RTH was set and confirmed on the map, etc. . It had been in the air a while, had gone from 100% battery to 35% with zero indications of a problem. Since battery was at 35%, I was headed to where I was going to land it - no warning - ATTI Mode and off he went.

Never rely on rth. Should leave that as last resort. Practice using the radar.

I was not using RTH, was manually flying it back to where I was and had planned to land it manually when it lost GPS and took off on it's own.
