First flight w/ controller

I just recieved my new controller in the mail and I've never flown with it yet. Any tips for my first flight so I don't break anything?

Read the manual, watch some youtube tutorials, become totally familiar with all the features and functions

Flying with the RC is a lot more intuitive, and a lot easier then fiddling with the on screen sticks, IMHO.

I had about 4 short flights with the phone before I decided that the RC is a must.

Stay out of sport mode until you're comfortable with the controls.

Just because you have extended range, don't go all out. Work
your way further out slowly.

As said above, the controller is far better for controlling the Spark.

Get an OTG cable a hard-wire the remote to your phone/pad. I have an iPhone so I use a USB / lightning cable to connect the OTG.to my 8 Plys. I have much stronger WiFi signal that way. There are videos on YouTube telling how to do it and the advantages of doing it
