Does anyone know of any decent gimbal/camera guards for the Spark please ?

I just want something to protect the front end when it's in my bag on trips etc.

It looks so delicate & the IR sensor looks like it could get scratched up easily.

Here are a few camera guards that might work for you:
It would also be a good idea to get one of these covers to protect the camera & gimbal when you're transporting your Spark.

Thanks,

I just spotted your post before I ordered anything.

That looks great and only around $10 on amazon or ebay.

I might try one. Looks like it protects the bottom sensors too.

Yes it does cover the bottom sensors too...FYI Pgytech also make a great tablet adaptor for the Mavic, which also suits the Spark...I've got one of them to and it's also really well made.

Thanks,

I have one of those tablet adaptors on the way, (eBay).

I was wondering how they affect the weight and balance of the controller ?

I'm thinking it could make it uncomfortable, off balance & heavy to hold ?

Looks there's a hole for neck lanyard?
Not sure if would hang comfortably.

I'll soon find out !

Should be here by the end of the week.

Hopefully I can attach a neck strap to it if needed.

If anything, it makes a great life line if you do happen to drop it for some reason.

Yes !

I'm looking forward to using my iPad Mini 4 with this.

It's in a Otterbox case so I need either something like this, or a separate tripod.

I only got my Spark a few days ago.

I was enthusiastic, willing to contribute and share my experiences (as anyone can see by my posts).

I simply asked about gimbal guard choices only to be attacked by a 'Goggle Is Your Friend' freaktard.

And at the end of the thread and totally out of context.

No wonder I'm pretty pissed but I don't suffer fools lightly.

OP: Calm down. Remember that you are dealing with people here who have better things to do than search the internet for you (like fly our drones). Help yourself, and help us all, by taking some time to look up what you want, then come here and ask for reviews or opinions on which one.

I would ask you this: if you asked a random stranger who you saw flying a drone what to buy, and they said "I don't know, go look online", would you then have a shitfit? Because that is exactly what you did here. You won't make friends doing that.

Perhaps you are new to forums, so here is the basic rules:
1- search the internet for what you want. Get some ideas from vendors or other forum posts.
2- search the forums themselves for threads already made
3- if none of that satisfies your answers, then make a post detailing what you want, specific features, and most importantly: what you have already found. A better question for this thread may have been "has anyone used a gimbal protector they like?". This way you are getting a review, which counts much more than random links.

Next, there is a forum animal known as the "troll". They can be intentional or not. While I don't think it is intentional on his part, The Editor is a troll from your point of view. The rule for trolls is "don't feed the trolls". If you don't like his answer, ignore it. Don't respond with hostility, otherwise you will be the one banned. Instead, focus on the answers you found helpful.

Hopefully you have found some answers, in which case I would say this thread is closed. No more replies, just fly on.

And always remember: GOOGLE IS EVERYONE'S FRIEND.
