IOS 13 Video Upload Issues?

Hi fliers!

I just installed IOS13 on my iPhone. It’s nice, BUT, I’m struggling to learn how to upload DJIs MP4 videos to my phone.

The previous OS allowed me to upload from SD using a lightning adapter directly to my Photo Album. From there, I would use Splice or other app to do quick edits. IOS 13 now enables its Files App to find and upload videos etc via lightning. However, IOS 13 does not appear to allow uploading to the photo album, but only directly to an App.

OK, so following this route, it shows a list of apps but on my iPhone only shows iMovie. Splice is not on the list. And of course iMovie cannot read MP4s.

So, does anyone know a) how to upload to my photo album, where I can fetch it with apps, b) to somehow get Splice to appear on on Files’s list, or c) any other ways to upload our Spark videos in IOS 13 to edit them using Splice or other MP4 editor?

Thanks All!

If after your flight, you have enough battery, or a spare, connect to the Spark and from DJI Go, you can view what you've captured, videos and photos, select them and download them to your iPhone.

Not sure what has changed about the other process unless you can see them in the Files App when the card is connected and work with them that way.

Great advice! And yes I ended up doing just that, uploading by GO4. Which nicely uploads to Photo Album. FILES will not import them for access by Splice video editing, as far as I have found, ergo the problem: camping in wilderness and using Spark battery power to upload. The other process, iOS 13 update is what changed to make this an ordeal.

Cheers! George
