Lightning to Micro SD

I have seen a few threads on this in the past I’m still not sure what the best avenue is.

I do the majority of my video editing on an iPad or my iPhone. Downloading video files from the Spark directly takes a while and it freezes up on me often.

What is the best route to get instant access to video files on my iPhone from the onboard SD card? If I buy a Lightning to USB adapter will the access to the files be as fast, downloading and previewing, as if I was watching a saved file from my phone?

Any help is appreciated.

I had a lightning card reader. I wasn't happy with it but that was a few years ago and I'm sure the technology is better since then.

I bought one very similar to this one and it works beautifully. It is very compact and easy to use. The one I bought was the "iDragon U010" brand and model but this one looks just like it.
