Hi Guys/Gals

Would like to use the litchi or dgi go app to have the spark follow me from the side or in front of my slow moving vehicle. Is there any way to do that with either app. Just started playing with them in the last couple of days

Cheers

consider using Litchi Magic Leash. However of course this type of activity is dangerous.

You definitely can have your Spark follow you in front and on the sides. For the front you do it the same way you'd do it in rear, just have it in front of your car before you start driving. Note that it is quite slow when tracking this way -- but if you start going too fast it will swing out to the side and then start following you from the back. To follow alongside your car, move the camera to the side of your car and select ActiveTrack, select your car on-screen, hit the ActiveTrack button again to change the mode from "Follow" to "Profile", and you're ready to go! I just uploaded a video to YouTube with it following in front of my car, I'll link it here so you can see what it looks like (relevant footage at 1:53). Enjoy!

Thanks Guys..Appreciate the feedback..Will have a look at the magic leash as I do have a coupe of old iphones. But it looks like activetrack and modifying the parameters might be the simplest way to go.

Cheers

so for stability of transmission, would I be better off having my iphone connected to my remote, which is mounted inside the jeep..
Just wondering if the remote would enhance the link between the AC and iphone thus less chance of having a fly away

Yes, it's definitely best having your phone connected to the remote and the remote connected to your Spark rather than bypassing the remote and just using your phone to connect to the Spark. A direct phone-to-Spark connection is much less stable and the Spark is very limited in range and height when you aren't connected to the remote.
