Oh NO. Uinstalled old and excitedly downloaded 4.2.12 and set it all up ...... no change battery n/a distance n/a etc. Devastated.

Delete data and cache and re sign back in and then try .

Distance does start off as na when in doors as soon as you are outside it works when you start flying. I thought that at first that it hadn't worked. Mine did the same

Yes, with the hand gestures.
It's in the manual and there are plenty of videos on YouTube (search for Spark Gesture Control). But it will be very limited without phone or controller

Don't know how, but I can't imagine it will take much longer for everyone to have the update.
Android usually rolls out in 2-3 days to everyone
