Lost a screw in flight...

Gimbal started shaking, got a "Gimbal overload warning" (not an error). I flew it back and... there you go: one of the screws holding the gimbal was missing.

I always fly with a few screws loose, but never on my Spark, [emoji12].

Lucky the only loose screw was in the spark and not elsewhere.

Anyway, opened it up, replaced the missing screw (thank you Spark 317), closed everything, recalibrated the compass + IMU, and went for a successful test flight. I just need to level the gimbal

I have to admit I'm surprised by the low-is quality of certain components (connectors) as well as how tight the "external" screw where fastened, compared to the "internal" screws.

No... I had it repaired 14 months ago and no crash since. Then, two months after the DJI care expires this happens.

You know a lot of these screws have a sealing adhesive on them to avoid them coming loose. Could it be when it was repaired the techs didn't add that adhesive back on them?

Actually, only the "external" screws had thread locker on. some also had some kind of glue inside the "head" (?).

Laptop manufacturers have been using that trick for awhile to discourage "user disassmbly" and be able to tell it has been opened.
