measuring wind speed at height?

tried flying to a countryside landmark today and got beaten by the wind today.

At ground level it was gusting but did not seem very windy.
At 275 ft I could have done with a way to measure the wind.

Resorting to watching the direction arrow, the speed of the Spark and the distance count up, I was not sure if I was hitting a limit of some kind...
Turning round and returning I saw speed of 20+ mph in normal mode and a return trip of next to no time!

I tried it again, with a fresh battery and a swap of OTG cable to see if I had lost video signal or similar.
No difference, and then I lost radio signal and Spark RTH, going like the clappers!

So... my Q... is there a way to measure wind speed when at a height?

Thanks for any help!

Another app called Windy, but not as refined altitude. Goes from surface to 300ft in one click. It has lots of other good info though.

2nded UAV forecast. Remember not to fly over 400ft if in the US. FAA rules.
