Old railroad grade and workers rock houses

Quick video of an 1880's abandoned railroad grade in Eastern Utah. Also shows a couple of the rock houses for the workers that still somewhat stand. Video is quick because I was running out of battery and the wind was really whipping around.

cool video and cool music. Those old rail beds are a neat subject. There is one running along the Merced River on a line that went to Yosemite in about the same era. It's always fascinated me..I have to get a drone up there and take a closer look

The guy that built it did so without the railroads involvement- they decided on a different route. Tough toenails I guess

I think the transcontinental railroad was completed in 81 wasn't it.
