I have spark and it works fine but I have a little delay on the video when flying, now I have an OTG cable but is there a routine you have to go through when you want to get going, any help most appreciated.

I do as follows:
1 Put my mobile/tablet into flight mode insert cable end into device.
2. Turn on Spark
3 Turn on RC
4. When RC and Spark connected (green light on) plug OTG into RC
5. Run DJI Go if it does not start automatically.
It is important that you do not connect the OTG to the RC until RC Spark connected. Also make sure the OTG cable is plugged into RC not device!

Is this as safe as flying with WiFi, what happens if there will be something wrong with the cable?
At the end of your post you said make sure otg is plugged into rc not device. When at the begining you said insert cable into device. Confused.
