Have you tried out the range in the UK yet? Wondering about the loss of video signal and rth at short distances as others have mentioned. Thanks

Not true......I fly in gesture mode all the time without my iPhone connected and take pictures, every thing works great. just make sure you have a SD card in the spark, and later when you do connect to your device the pictures automatically download to your device.
