I think it has been discussed before.Using app like Fake GPS is not making the Spark and its RC using FCC mode. Only your phone is affected.
I just tried with Wi-Spy signal analyzer using channel 161 in manual mode. If I use Fake GPS, on the map it shows my phone is in US but the Spark and home points are at my home (Switzerland). With or without Fake GPS, the signal level at channel 161 is the same.
There would have been a significant difference if the Spark would be in FCC mode.
Having channel 12 and 13 or not is not meaning that the Spark or RC is in CE or in FCC mode, it is just indicating that the phone is.
That app helps in nothing and can create even more confusion and risk IMO.
DJI MOD 2.0 ???
Available on this forum ???
I don't think it is provided by the forum, probably by you or its users.
And no change in signal level, how you explain it? At 5.8G, the difference is supposed to be huge.I think it has been discussed before.
Using DJI go 4 app, we can see (and alter) our drone's settings, not our phone's settings.
If you see 11 channels, it is the DRONE using 11 channels, to communicate with RC.
Almost all the info, on djigo4 app, is provided by the drone's telemetry system.
Yes, highly possibleHuh! Sounds like Dronason partied too hard on Saturday night, hehe...
There seems to be a significant increase in signal level, because range is reported to be 2 to 4 times greater than in CE mode. And no change in signal level, how you explain it? At 5.8G, the difference is supposed to be huge.
Done in post #3 in a non high accurate way using Wi-Spy tool. Best would be to have a RC modded for external antenna and measure real power output. That's on the todo list for this summer. There seems to be a significant increase in signal level, because range is reported to be 2 to 4 times greater than in CE mode.
If someone has the equipment, to measure the real strength of the transmission (drone and RC), it would be an interesting conversation.
I think measurements must be done by an RF specialist, with appropriate equipment and conditions.Done in post #3 in a non high accurate way using Wi-Spy tool. Best would be to have a RC modded for external antenna and measure real power output. That's on the todo list for this summer.
Sorry, I don't have a EMC lab with shielded room for such kind of measurementsI think measurements must be done by an RF specialist, with appropriate equipment and conditions.
But you could post your wi-spy measurements too.
It would be interesting.
Flying from my backyard, I have 200m to 250m range in CE 5.8g mode.Sorry, I don't have a EMC lab with shielded room for such kind of measurements![]()
Just needed to convince me it will not go for FCC mode this way.
When I will get RF power output measurement on a modded RC, I will post results for sure.
