Spark is home again (Hangar Autopilot saga)

I have just unpacked my suitcase and fired up my Spark.
Made a small Autopilot Waypoint route behind my house
I've checked all updates, start DJI GO4 and checked all settings.
Then started Autopilot (without closing GJI GO4) and flew the route.

All went well and the route was flown without any issue or loss of signal.

So, going back to my issues in Nigeria, besides the WiFi signal disturbance, I think I know what the real problem is. UV disturbance...
This is mentioned if you do your pilot exams but never thought is would influence that much
All settings are the same, including the same battery so conditions match.
And here, no problems.
So, although a small test / flight. Hangar Autopilot did what it always did. Without issues

Good to hear. I have been trying flights with Hangar Autopilot. I tried a Waypoint and Follow missions yesterday and in both cases, Autopilot shut down on my iPad mini 4 (cellular) 8+ and 10+ minutes into the flight. I was able to recover the Spark easily with the RC but I cannot figure out why Autopilot simply shuts down. There was plenty of battery life left and great connection between the mini and RC.

I noticed you launched with DJI Go first and kept it running before going to Autopilot. Is that a recommended best practice? Are there any suggestions on what might cause Autopilot shutdowns mid flight. The mini is dedicated to the Spark, no SIM. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks for your reply. If you are new to Autopilot, settings are a little strange by default. I have no experience with the iPad 4 mini. Does your iPad have a barometer? This is very important for Autopilot. Please check if your max distance is set to 100%.
Can you print out the fly route?
I strongly advise to use Airdata. That is a free service (www.airdata.com) and you can check e.g. your signal strength.
You should check what flies best. In Nigeria, I always closed DJI GO4 before I flew. Today I didn't. You need to see what is comfortable. You can always control your Spark. With or without the app

Are there any suggestions on what might cause Autopilot shutdowns mid flight.

This is from Autopilots site ....Legacy devices are supported, but you will see degraded performance and possibly experience memory pressure causing the app to unexpectedly terminate.

The mini4 is considered a Legacy device.

I am aware of this limitation. However, I believe there is a bigger problem with the app. I can no longer even start or load the app. I have closed any running apps, restarted the iPad and only launching Autopilot results in a crashed app about a minute later. I have done this repeatedly. I have also submitted a case to Hangar along with log files.
