Spark over snow

Flew my spark up on Mt Ashland yesterday, got some great vids and pics. All of a sudden bringing it back it went into a out of control spin and fell spinning down to the snow. Lucky it was only about 100ft. high and 100 ft out . I spotted the green skin just under the snow (glad I had a skin on it ). what would cause this to happen. I was about 7,000 ft . elevation on the mountain. The vid shows it spinning and then poof!!

what is that weird white sphere on the top of the mountain in the 0510 picture

Heck.

That may have been the reason.

I tried to get pictures of a local water tower next to a radio tower of sorts and the Spark didn't like what was coming off the antenna mast.

this is the one I think: Upgrade made to radar on Mt. Ashland to help forecasters

And I’d stay well clear of any high power transmission like AM/FM/TV towers, cell phone towers or radar sites.

Definitely a radome of some sort. Very likely not the best thing to be flying in close proximity to. Also seeing a number of what appear to be microwave dishes and a transmission tower. A veritable nest of RF signals.

it has to do with the weather report.

Yes that sounds like it. guess I wont be flying near that again. But it was a great view and got some good vids and pics. Lesson learned. Thank you

I checked the flight log . pretty cool , it showed the exact flight, speed, height, and distance from home, along with all the coordinates. I could see exactly when it went down, shows it spinning, the elevation dropping rapidly then stop.
