Tablet need to have GPS?

I'm looking at getting an iPad mini 4 to use with my spark tomorrow. The one I'm looking at is the wifi model (128gb) and if the info I've read it correct, that does not have GPS. only the LTE version does?

So my question is, will the non GPS model work? Assuming so, what, if any functionality will I lose if my device doesn't have GPS?

Ok so I kinda answered my own question. Without gps I can't use follow me (which spark doesn't have since it has active track???) And I can't reset home point to my position. Is this correct? Is there anything else?
