Flying yesterday my phone suddenly decided to reboot itself! Fortunately, I was taking some low-level video in tripod mode and only a few meters away! I had the phone screen set to max brightness and wonder if this could have caused it to overheat and shut the phone down.

I haven't had a shut down yet, but the device may get warm due to the processing power of the flight and may cause it to crash.

I actually done an experiment once while flying.

I disconnected may primary flight platform (iPad mini4) during an active flight, and then connected to one of my Android devices during the flight and everything worked.

Good information to know when flying and you need a backup device to save the day if the primary one crashes.

Standing in direct sun light or running a resource intensive application (like DJI GO) or more likely reasons for a mobile device to shut down.
