I was tracking a boat today in intelligent mode. It locked in and tracked for 18 secs. and then announced that it was quitting. I tried again. Same results. I noticed that both times it got up to about 8 mph when it quit. That is also about the MAX speed for my Spark in Normal mode. In Sport mode it goes ~ 30 mph.

Any ideas why it is dropping like this?

There are 2 type of active track, one will just sit there and not "follow you" I thinks it's called profile the other mode is trace, to switch modes just push on the active track icon on the left hand side of the DJI Go 4 app to switch modes.

My steps
1 - put in active track
2 - tap the active track icon on middle left of screen
3 - accept dialog box that comes up
4 - spark will follow me now.

It will NOT work in sport mode so your only going to be able to go 6-8mph before it will loose track. If you want faster tracking they make a Mavic Air and a Mavic Pro which I'm sure would suit your needs fine.

I'm sure this is in the manual some place, I hope [emoji12][emoji16]

Thanks much. I thought i had done pretty much this and yesterday it did NOT work and today it did. I guess I forgot to click my ruby red slippers. :-)

I am guessing that this is the key to my problem. Since I just learned how to get my Spark to go more than 7 mph and it was exactly this. Turn of the avoidance system.

Thanks

I've seen the Spark activetrack at speeds up to 28-30mph...not sure of the exact settings for this though...but I'm trying to find out.
