I want to make movie's on a high altitude.
With my first spark dropping out of the sky I am a bit scared to try tripod mode on lets say 100m altitude.
Is it save to try this out? I think it gives the best result for filming on high altitude.
I tried this manually with the controller but its hard to get a smooth image.
Anyone tried this and has experience?
Thx

I don't see any reason why not, after all tripod mode just slows all stick movements and camera right down. Should it get too windy just simply turn tripod mode off.

I use tripod mode quite a bit, especially for panning shots.
Haven't been quite as high as 100m but I haven't had any problems with it.

If you really get into trouble just flick into sports mode to bring it back anyways.

That's the only mode where you can raise the camera up above straight forward.

Thank You!

I have all kinds of aerial activity in my area since I'm within a few airports.

Anything from powered para-sails to vintage military aircraft fly over my backyard at random times.

I can fly at 100 feet (30 m) and look up safely without any worries.

The picture was from the ground, the tree is 90 feet tall.

No problem with Tripod mode at high altitude. I was in Micronesia last week (no legislation for drone usage) and had the drone up at 500m a couple of times. Sport mode, normal mode, and Tripod mode all good.
