I'm with you. I used to use it religiously, but found it to be kind of a hassle, which distracted from what was supposed to be a quick and easy pre-flight setup. Tried it without once and everything was fine. I still pack it in the case, but I haven't used it since.

I actually don't use an OTG cable (iOS) any more after the big FW update. I haven't had any connection issues, and it's one less thing to carry around and set up pre-flight. Sure, I have to connect to the RC's WiFi, but that's what it was (supposedly) designed to do.

It's simply a comment from someone who understands from experience that 350 feet straight up is not the best situation for a good signal.

Well, since I wouldn't fly any of my drones straight up above me to 350 feet, and at full throttle no less, I'll likely not have that issue. Thanks, tho.

I'm happy as a clam since the new firmware came out. It now pretty much does what it was advertised to do to when released. And if you'd bought one to begin with, you'd feel the same, I reckon.

It was for me. I'm guessing it's an app issue, so it wouldn't matter either way.
