We woke up to a dusting of snow on Monday, so I took the Spark up for some scenic shots. By the time I drove home, all the new snow had melted. Timing is everything!

Edit: The drone footage starts 45 seconds in.

So beautiful and serene. I especially liked the ebb and flow of the ice on the river. Nice work!

Nice work David. Did a hoedown to the tracks which lifted the spirits! Beautiful rugged countryside and very remote looking at Google Maps. Must have been a long drive out and spotted the well wrapped up lady in tow. I have one of those and they are worth their weight in gold! Happy New Year to you both.

Did you have any issues with your batteries in the cold? I've heard of people having issues flying when it was really cold, both on their aircraft & their phone/pad. Thanks for posting!

No problems on this shoot, but I have had issues in the past when the batteries were too cold to fire up the Spark. Definitely want to keep them warm before use, in the car or inside coat pocket.
I have had my previous phone battery die really quickly in below freezing weather. Not sure how to lessen that problem.
A cold screen also makes for cold fingers, so I wear fingerless gloves to lower heat loss.

Beautiful and I was just in Page a few months ago and saw it in a much different view.
