Crashed from 100metres

Hey guys I just crashed my drone today camera gimbal is broken and alpine white cover popped up in a couple places. Wondering if anyone else has had a crash like this and how much it would cost to repair. Cried for like 3hrs after crashing. Any help on what I can do would be nice.

What was the cause? Where are you in the world? Do you have a warranty, DJI Care? If the battery popped out you may have a good case. And you're 13? Where's your folks on this?

Hi in the middle of Africa do not have warranty age is wrong I’m 16 I was releasing a mini parachute toy in a field and something got caught in the props got a motor warning and drone hit the ground at 89kmh completely my fault just wanting to know how much it would cost to fix

Hate to say from that height it would be a total loss.
That is why the DJI Care Refresh "insurance" is so handy.
Crash would have been covered with a minimal fee for parts.

Ii wonder if that was an option? what country in Africa? I agree with pmshop that you might just have to take the loss.

Here is a price list of Spark components I found in the DJI website (all prices is US$). So you can use it to make a rough estimate depending on the components which you think are broken and would need replacement.
From what I can see from the pics, the following components need to be replaced.

1. Middle frame (excluding motors) - $13
2. Upper AC cover - $4
3. Gimbal and camera module - $112 **

**The 3rd one is difficult to say as only the DJI engineers can tell if the entire module needs replacement.
Additionally, there will be a service fee of around $65. So the repair cost could be anywhere between $150 to $200.

Hate to say from that height it would be a total loss.

it landed in very long soft grass grass about waist height so I think a lot of impact was taken away so it was only the cover and the camera bracket broke

The camera module will incur maximum cost. You will get a repair estimate depending on DJI's assessment after you send the drone to them. Depending on the nature of the crash, people have been able to get discounts too. But since it seems you are completely at fault here, I don't think you can hope for any discount. That's why it is important to buy DJI care. Anyway, good luck with the repairs.

Mine flew away on April 3rd during. I think the wind got it and dumped it into a pond (there were 11-15 mph gusts that day) or possibly a big hawk got it (lots of them live around our area). I found another on ebay (just the drone + one battery) for $200. You might just want to look for a used bird.
